Founded in 2008 by Andrea Murray, a former Charleston County School Board Member with over 25 years of community service on John’s Island, Intergenerational Kneeds began as Child Care By Faith. What started as a small act of service has grown into a mission-driven organization dedicated to connecting generations through compassion, care, and community.
Food Distribution: Nutritious groceries and essential items for families and seniors in need.
Meals on Wheels Support: Volunteers extend care and companionship to homebound seniors.
Intergenerational Learning & Mentorship: Youth and elders exchange life lessons and build mutual respect.
Senior Companionship & Engagement: Reducing isolation and promoting mental and emotional well-being.
Technology Tutoring for Seniors: Helping older adults stay connected with family and the world around them.
School & Community Partnerships: Engaging students and volunteers to serve local seniors.
Senior Outings & Wellness Activities: Encouraging health, joy, and community connection.
